We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as the traditional land owners of our location. We would like to pay our respect to Elders both past and present and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Outside of the Centre’s free residency program we offer a range of services available for hire. Mark and Arie have extensive professional experience working inside and outside of conventional contexts.

Below are some examples of services we can offer, but we encourage you to reach out with your unique project and we’ll tailor a package to suit you. You might want dramaturgy, you might want curation or you might want a mixture of the two. And if we’re not the right person for this particular job, we can help match you up with someone who is.

Dramaturgy services

– Script Assessment

I’ll read your play and write a 2pg script report inc. full synopsis, strengths and weaknesses, and detailed dramaturgical notes to assist you on future drafts. We’ll meet in person (or via skype) for a one-on-one feedback session, to go through the notes, synthesise them with your reflections, and plan your approach to the next stage of the project development.

– Project Consultation

Dramaturgical principles can be applied to a range of situations beyond the walls of theatre. It might be a walking tour, an interactive game, a research presentation, a wedding, a seance, an exhibition or a festival. We can assist with building your performance skills, clarity and confidence, shaping an audience’s experience, concept development, and getting the story of your event right.

– Outside Eye

I’ll drop in on one of your projects to witness the work in-progress (be it a showing, rehearsal, preview, first read). I can take notes on what I witness, assist you in the room as needed, or meet with you after the session to discuss.

– Mentorship

Ongoing mentorship for emerging dramaturgs, playwrights and theatre makers outside of a specific project. We can meet as needed to reflect on your practice, career trajectory, identify areas for improvement or experimentation, and plan your professional development.
